Collaborative Publishes Service Oriented Architecture White Paper

March 21, 2006
WOBURN, Mass. – Collaborative Consulting, a company that specializes in optimizing its clients’ business and technology capabilities, has published a white paper that highlights how moving a company toward a real, productive SOA environment takes considerable analysis and experimentation—hallmarks of more traditional Enterprise Architecture approaches.

In “The ‘E’ in SOA,” the latest in Collaborative’s white paper series, Peter Salvitti, the leader of the company’s National Technology Services Practice, and David Decker, a director, discuss key elements, architectural patterns, controls and practices that enable effective, optimal adoption of SOA concepts and technologies, rather than simply embracing SOA at the expense of EA.

The paper pays particular attention to information, processes, people and the leveraging of existing assets while providing several practical suggestions for a methodology that can be used early in SOA efforts. And, it concludes by describing how existing and emerging EA frameworks can be employed to lay the groundwork for a more comprehensive SOA ecosystem.

Publication of the paper coincides with Collaborative’s participation in DCI’s Enterprise Architectures Conference, taking place this week in Orlando. Today, Salvitti and Decker will present key points from the paper during a theater presentation.
